    After a successful career in business development while working in various capacities in Africa, Eileen Laskar founded Coach Development Institute of Africa (CDI- Africa). Since 2006, the company traded as "Intellect Consulting Ltd" but re-branded in 2012 in order to fully embody its mandate and vision.

    Eileen holds various International professional coaching credentials including Certified Executive Coach (CEC), Certified Leadership & Talent Management Coach (CLTMC and a Certified Professional Career Coach (CPCC). She is currently working towards the International Coach Federation (ICF) credentialing of Master Certified Coach (MCC). Additionally, she holds a Master's Degree in Strategic Management, and currently pursuing an online Master of Science in Leadership at Walden University (specializing in Leader Development).

    Eileen is a recognized regional pioneer in the professional coaching domain particularly in workplace coaching and mentoring, leadership coaches, executive career coaching and training of professional coaches. It is this pioneering spirit that saw her nominated in the "Top 40 under 40" category (Business Daily, January, 30th, 2009). As a result, she has been featured in various local media (TV and Print media), authored series of coaching related articles published by the "Management" a monthly publication of Kenya Institute of Management and has been a guest speaker in various HR forums and conferences regarding building a workplace coaching and mentoring culture.

    Though she has designed and delivered a portfolio of coaching programs to hundreds of managers working for multinationals, local companies, NGOs, and public sectors, she terms her workplace coaching and mentoring programs as her most inspiring passion. Her proprietary model 3-Step Model for Success & Sustainability offers organizations a breakthrough approach to implementing sustainable workplace coaching and mentoring programs. She terms this as her active legacy!

    In order to advance the coaching industry in Kenya and the region, Eileen steered the formation of the International Coach Federation (ICF) Kenya Chapter in 2011. Further, she has pursued partnerships with different seasoned institutes abroad including Workplace Coach Institute (WCI) and Professional Association of Résumé writers and Career Coaches (PARW/CC) based in USA in delivering their coach training curricula in the region. Her style is a blend of "Training, consulting, facilitation and coaching" which effortlessly propels people to greater heights through creating possibilities, inspiration and instilling a great sense of commitment.

    The other side of Eileen - She is a committed wife and a mother of 3 handful boys!

    Associate Coach & Trainer

    Steve holds an MBA (Finance Management) from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland; and the Bachelor of Education (Honors) from the University of Nairobi. He is also a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) and; the Certified Professional Career Coach (CPCC) under the auspices of the Professional Association of Résumé Writers and Career Coaches (PARWCC), based in the USA and Kenya School of Career coaching

    Steve brings on board over 3 decades of hands-on Training & Development experience both in the public and private sector. He worked for the Kenya Commercial Bank for 20 years. As a Senior IT Training Manager, he was the in-charge of the Bank's Microsoft Certified Technical Education Centre at KCB Leadership Centre. As a team leader, that rolled out new Core Banking system training programs in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and the Republic of Southern Sudan that saw the bank becoming the first 'One-branch Regional bank' in East Africa in 2010.

    Within the KCB fraternity, Steve was popularly referred to as "Mwalimu" for Trainer even after he moved on to the coaching industry. This is as a result of having been associated with training and supporting others to grow through personalized coaching and mentoring.

    Prior to joining the banking industry, Steve was a Senior Lecturer at the Mombasa Polytechnic where he headed the Business Studies department and spearheaded development of new curricula that kept trend with market dynamics.

    Given his rich Training & Development background and combining this with a professional coaching approach Steven fitted in perfectly as an associate coach and trainer for CDI-Africa delivering both structured one-on-one coaching solutions and training for various programs... and he does this with ease and fun!

    Associate Coach and Trainer

    Tamala's career history spans nineteen years having held various positions in finance, administration and marketing working in non-profit, banking, mining, manufacturing and international development sectors in Malawi and South Africa. She brings on board wealth of versatile experience and international exposure in business having worked across diverse cultural backgrounds which now stands her in good stead to understand and appreciate a cross-section of coaching clientele.

    Tamala has a natural knack of relating to and connecting with people in order to make a positive difference in their lives. She is passionate about supporting people to succeed and this disposition naturally drew her o pursue coaching as a profession. She is a Certified Professional Career Coach under the auspices of Professional Association of Résumé Writers and Career Coaches & Kenya School of Career Coaching and is currently working towards the International Coach Federation (ICF) credentialing of Associate Professional Coach.

    Additionally, she holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Management College of Southern Africa, an ACCA Diploma in Financial Management and is also a graduate of a Post-Graduate Management Programme with the University Of Cape Town Graduate School Of Business.

    As a practicing Coach, her forte is career coaching for personal branding, career transition, delivering workplace coaching and mentoring programs and training other upcoming coaches. She is particularly passionate about supporting organizations to embrace coaching philosophy in the workplace as a strategic approach to getting the best out of people and attaining sustainable high performance.

    On the home front, Tamala has the unwavering support of her husband Marcel and ten year old daughter Claudia who both keep her on her toes because of their fierce curiosity about coaching.
